Presents from Grandma and Pappy Bob

Presents from Nana Sharon and Pappy Dave!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Eve with Pappy Oscar and Aunt Karen

Aunt Karen got Kelsey and Kaitlyn a basketball hoop! Kelsey loved it. She doesn't like to miss a basket and so she has the hoop set up in the living room inches in front of the couch. She stands on the couch and dunks every ball. She gets very VERY upset if we move it and she cannot make the basket. We will keep practicing for summer!

Visit to Aunt Kirstin and Uncle Pauls and First Basketball Game!

Kelsey and Kaitlyn went to visit Aunt Kirstin, Uncle Paul, David and Ryan. They also got to their first PSU men's basketball game. It was youth day and the crowd wasn't very big so we had a whole section to ourselves. It was great for David and Kelsey to run around. They sat for the first half and then ran around the second half. Kaitlyn looked right at home in her seat. Kelsey and David yelled for the lion and screamed as loud as they wanted to!

Happy Girls

Happy, Hugging and Laughing! It only lasted a few seconds but it was nice!

Aunt Michelle and Uncle Marco

Kelsey and Kaitlyn got to spend time with Aunt Michelle and Uncle Marco over the holidays

Elmo

Kaitlyn loves her new Elmo.

Bob's birthday cake.

Kelsey likes cake for birthdays so we got a cake for Bob this year. She liked the carrot on this cake and asked why Daddy had a carrot on his cake. At least she ate the cake, those tiny pieces of carrot are as close as we can get to a vegetable lately!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Beer and Shoes for Daddy's birthday!

Nana's Birthday Cake

Mmmm. Good practice for her 1st Birthday!

Presents! I'll help!

Kelsey helped Nana open her birthday present. Kelsey helps everyone open presents. She helps by grabbing the gift and opening it for them. It's a 2 year old thing!

First Hair Cut - Not Exactly The Way I Had Planned!

Kelsey had her first haircut this week. It was not planned to happen this week but sometimes things happen and you just go with it! Kelsey chopped her left side bangs and a little from the sides yesterday. Miss An did a great job. Kelsey was really nervous but An is so good with kids! I guess that's why she's a special needs preschool teacher! She's got lots of patience and smiles for kids. I told Kelsey that Miss An was going to "fix" her hair and I think Kelsey thought it was going to be long again after we left. Miss An said that she was done and Kelsey said "no." Poor Kelsey, it's going to take a few months until the bangs are back.

nervous

Here she is all ready to get her first hair cut. She was a little nervous so I had a present ready as soon as she was done. She started biting her fingernails in the waiting room. She had stopped doing that for awhile. I think she was really nervous. I told her how nice Miss An was and she was really impressed when I told her that Miss An does hair for princesses before they go to big parties.

"There was glue in my hair"

I left Kelsey alone with her paper, scissors and glue for less than one minute. She was making a book with pictures from a magazine. I came back into the kitchen and she was piling up the hair. "I cut my hair mommy" I cried, she cried. "very bad news" She said that she had glue in her hair. "I was cutting the glue out" she told me. I called An at home tonight and she can see Kelsey for a trim tomorrow. Not sure how this is going to work out. I will post the new style when it's done.

Christmas Pajamas

I love Santa! That's what Kelsey says - until she actually sees him and then she just wants to wave at him. She yells "Hi Santa" but she won't go over and talk to him. We did get her to say that she would like a doll house when we saw him for the second time at the mall last week. Hopefully, Santa heard her, she was whispering.

A trip to the Tree Farm

Riding the wagon

Be careful Daddy

Kelsey loves tools. She enjoyed getting up close and watching Bob use the hand saw to cut down the tree.

load up the van!

Here are Kelsey and Kaitlyn making sure the tree is loaded up in Pappy Dave's van. They had a good time and it only took about 30 minutes to pick out a tree! Time to go home and decorate!

Dec 2nd tea party

Here's Kaitlyn giving Kelsey a push on the toy at the little gym.

Dec 2nd tea party

Kelsey, Kaitlyn and I went to a tea party at the YMCA on Saturday.

It was for the babies and parents in Kaityln's classroom. Lot's of babies came and everyone sang songs, ate cookies and drank tea. Kelsey liked it when we all went down to the little gym to play.

"I hug baby Ryan"

such a sweet girl!

It's Baby Ryan!

Ryan was born on November 27th - just as planned! He was 7 pound, 2 ounces. Kelsey was very excited to go see him. She has been talking about him every night. She says "I want to go back to baby Ryan's house" She thinks the hospital is his house. She is going to be surprised to see that he lives with cousin David!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Kelsey and Kaitlyn helped me blow out the candles for my birthday cake. It's a good thing that Bob didn't put all 33 candles on there or Kelsey may have burned off her pig-tails!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving dinner at home this year. Here's a pic of Kelsey having her "cranberry cordial" at dinner. She enjoyed having a toast with me and Bob.

Christmas Pictures

I was so happy with the pictures that we had taken on Wednesday because Kelsey was willing to smile! It was so nice. She hasn't wanted to be in a professional photo since she was about 15 months old unless Bob and I were in the photo with her. She loved the new picture place in town. They had lots of props and backgrounds. Kaitlyn did a great job too! She smiled easily for every picture. The photographer had to put a rubber duck on Bob's head and at one point, I had to jump up and down like a crazy person to get Kelsey to smile! At least she didn't run away screaming! They did great!
