Father Daughter Dance

Ready for a fun night out! They had a DJ, photographer, raffles, and trivia question prizes. Kaitlyn and I went shopping and made cupcakes while we waited for them to come home! Kelsey brought home balloons to share with Kaitlyn. She said she had a good time! Corsage Time. Kelsey was not into the corsage. She didn't want to wear it for some reason. Bob had to work this out at the dance. She wore it after she saw the other girls wearing them too.
It's so much fun getting ready for a dance! Kelsey sat still and let me do her hair any way that I wanted! I did a french twist with curls and a barette on the side.

Hop!

Happy to be at the movies!
We tried to see Hop at 1:30 but it was sold out! So we went to see the bunny, eat at the food court and play in the jungle gym until we could go back for the next showing! They all wanted to see the bunny but only David was brave enough to sit on his lap. Hope David gets a big chocolate bunny this year!
Happy kids with their cookie creations!

Party Day and Night!

Great party!
Asleep by 11:30! Not too bad.
Ryan is a good dancer. He loved the dance party!
Hannah Montana Dance Party in their jammies! Kelsey was excited to play her new cds.

Kelsey loved opening presents!
This is the first time we had a pinata that the kids had to really hit. We've only ever had the ones that come apart when you pull the string. The Pappy's and Bob had to hit it too!
YAY! The treasure was a big 6 pinata in the basement - By the way, THANK YOU Maureen for this awesome idea!
Here they are at the final clue. They had to put the "b" in the word basement and then sound it out to find out where the treasure was hidden. At this point, Ryan and Kaitlyn were both confused/scared/ and unable to read! Not too happy. David and Kelsey loved it!
I set up a treasure hunt for the kids. Kelsey and David loved it. The first bucket appeared in the living room and then the clues led them all over the house as they each found a bucket. I may have read the first clue with a little too much intensity and drama because Kaitlyn started crying and kept crying each time we found a bucket and clue. I think she was afraid and confused by how these buckets got in the house.
We made flower cookies on sticks to decorate for the party. They only at 2 while we were decorating!

Happy Birthday Kelsey!

We went to the hibachi restaurant and the girls loved the chicken and shrimp!
Tap Dance outfit for her doll. She ran and got her to put it on right away!
Something fun to do with Daddy! Lego police command center.

She opened her watch first thing in the morning and then wore it to school. She can tell time by the hour right now! It's 1:00 for an hour and then it's 2:00...

Girls Day....

By this point in the day, Kaitln was out of control! She ate her dinner like a crazy person and then fell asleep on the way home. Good times. Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Kirstin, and I spent a girls day going to my cousins baby shower and then outlet shopping until 8:00 at night! We went to dinner after all this shopping and had a fun time. Kelsey was psyched to see that Red Robin has corn dogs on the menu. "...A real corn dog" ?? not sure what that's all about. The girls got some new clothes and I even got to get some things. Kir and I really enjoyed having two people provide loud, critical commentary on our choice of undergarments, and other observations while we were changing in the dressing rooms...always entertaining!

Special Day for Show and Tell!

Bob brought Nate into Kaitlyn's preschool for Show and Tell today. Kaitlyn was so happy! She showed her class how Nate shakes his paw. She was so excited to tell me about her day when I picked her up!

Safari Reading Night!

Kelsey with Mrs. Shields. She loves Mrs. Shields! She's doing very well with her reading this year! Kelsey got to be part of a group with Michael, from our neighborhood. The kids went on a safari reading adventure while the parents listened to some reading tips from the teachers. She had a great night!

Dinosaur Movie and Meeting Rocky!

Bob enjoyed meeting our new dog nephew, Rocky. He's Kirstin and Paul's new dog. He's very energetic and took Bob for a few spins around the back yard. Who wants to see some dinosaurs! Kaitlyn and Kelsey were psyched to go to David and Ryan's dinosaur day/movie party! Bob and I had fun having lunch at Champs and shopping!

Dinosaurs everywhere! They have about as many dinosaurs as we have Barbies!

Ice Skating Party

Kelsey and her friend Lucy. Kelsey had a great day at the Ice Rink. She did a really nice job skating. I only held her hand for the first 20 minutes or so and then she was on her own!
Kelsey's school ice skating party

Kelsey and her friend Bryce. She told me that he was a "real" hockey player. He was speeding all around Kelsey all afternoon.
