23 years later...roller skating again and they still have the same skates!

We went roller skating this weekend. I thought it would be fun because I remembered how much I loved it when I was a kid...23 years ago! For some reason, I thought I would put skates on too and skate with the girls. I saw the other parents walking with shoes out on the floor but I thought I was good to go with skates. Well, Kelsey is our star skater and Kaitlyn and I hung back. Kelsey went around about 20 times and Kaitlyn did about 4 1/2 with me carrying her for 1/2 of one round. Seriously testing my 36 year old roller skating skills with a 34 pound child to carry! She has no idea how much danger she was actually in that afternoon!
Taking a break on one or our adventures around the circle. It took us a good 15-20 minutes to get around. Kelsey circled us about 3-4 times!

Little roller rink girl! They want to take Bob next time! Can't wait to see that!

Snowy Days

"Gotta get the snow out!"
"I'm a wild child!"

We had some fun this week out in the snow! The girls helped me shovel the driveway...until Bob sent his friend with the truck and our neighbor came over with the snowblower. I guess they thought we needed help! We were determined to get it done but it may have taken awhile with so many breaks to jump into the snow piles!

Here We Go Steelers!

The girls and I watched the play off game this Saturday! Go Big Ben! Defense! and lots of other cheers were yelled out during the game! If it comes down to Steelers and Green Bay, Kelsey and Kaitlyn say they have to cheer for Big Ben! Sorry Pappy Bob! Here We Go Steelers!

Pajama Day!

Kelsey had pajama party day at school this week. She took her bitty in her backpack to spend the day with her!

Birthday #4!

A tired little 4 year old! I thought it must have been about 9:00 but it was only 6:00 when the party wound down! I think these sleepovers are going to get more exhausting the older they get! Maybe they'll start sleeping in after staying up all night in the next few years!

Uncle Gary really wanted a singa-ma-jig. Better put that on his birthday list.

Good times in the basement. Ryan told us "don't talk" "don't look" He's got a whole routine down while he's shooting. I guess we were interupting his game!

Kaitlyn wanted to get right down to the basement to ride her bike! January birthdays make riding outside out of the question!

I think she was really surprised! We didn't hint at all about a bike coming!

How nice that Kelsey was happy for her too! This bike is so pretty! She looked like she was surprised!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!

Pinata for four! Four kids, one pinata, lots of candy to go around!

Kelsey helped me come up with the idea to pin the wings on tinkerbell and then Bob drew it up!

Loving her Tinkerbell Cake! So happy that she got to sneak a bit of icing.

She picked her outfit (from a few choices). She was feeling frilly!

Sleepover!

Kelsey and Kaitlyn argued over who would sleep beside David! David had to sleep in the middle and then by about 12:30, he was almost on top of Kaitlyn! Bob moved his legs and arms and nobody woke up! They slept from about 12:00 until 7:30. I had to get up when I heard them say something about a bucket of water and the bathroom sink was running....just a cup of water but it was enough to wake me wide awake!

So excited! They've never all slept in the same room all night!

Birthday Sleepover Fun

Pillow Pets at bedtime!
Happy Birthday Kaitlyn! Party Time. I think we;ll see a picture similar to this on her 21st birthday but with different beverages.

Birthday Sleepover night. We had David and Ryan over for dinner and then the Yogi Bear movie. Kaitlyn was very happy that the whole night was all about her. She passed out the drinks and the food!

Kaitlyn shoveled for about 2 minutes and then began throwing snow on Kelsey. When Kelsey threw some right back at her, I had a crying, screaming Kaitlyn at the front door. All done. Kaitlyn does not like to be cold, wet, or attacked!

Kelsey shoveled the sidewalk and helped a little in the driveway!

Dancing Divas

It's a bit crowded and crazy between dance sessions but I got one pic of them together in their new tutus. Silly girls.

Showing off their new dance tutus. The girls got lots of compliments on their new outfits at dance class. I think they'll be wearing these out and about too! They love being dancing divas!

Sleeping in their Tents!

After a second try, I gave up on letting them sleep together in the tents. They fell asleep happily, separately in their own rooms, in their own tents!

The happy, angelic joy of the sleepover lasted about 20 minutes and then Kelsey got hit in the head with Kaitlyn's leapster. Apparently, Kaitlyn's Rapunzel game has 5 games on it but you can't "unlock" the games until you play the first game and earn points! So essentially, Kaitlyn had one game to play and couldn't even try out the other games. This was just too much for Kaitlyn to take, so she apparently took our her aggresion on Kelsey. I have been playing the game to try and earn the points to unlock the other games but we are still only able to play one game! I just may have to hit Bob over the head with the Leapster if we don't get a new game unlocked pretty soon!

I moved the tents upstairs on Christmas night. Then on the next night the girls wanted to have a sleepover. So, I got them all set up and they had their leapsters to play with for a while! They were so excited and happy to be together.

Christmas afternoon and evening!

So happy to get Lego Police Station!
Kaitlyn literally jumped up and down when she saw the play doh cake making factory! We opened it right away!

FurReal kitty. Lulu! Kaitlyn loves her!

Kelsey was so excited to get a razor big kid scooter. Only 2 wheels on this one.

Cristmas Morning

Right to work on playing with the Barbie Camper!
Kelsey got right into the glitter glue while she ate up the monkey bread.

Yay! A disneyworld backpack for me to carry all of the passes, snacks, sunglasses, water bottles.....etc! Can't wait to go!

Yay! Bob really wanted this book! He has been eyeing it up for awhile! Seriously. He loves this book.

The girls couldn't believe when I told them that they had more presents under the tree!

Christmas Morning!

Kaitlyn got in her tent and got right to ripping the gifts open.

Kelsey climbed right into her tent and checked out her presents...then immediately ran over to check on Kaitlyn's gifts. Just checking....

Santa brought Princess Tents! Princess dolls and Fairies! So excited! The girls were so happy to find the Barbie camper and the toys inside the tents. The pillow pet unicorns were a big hit!
