Party Hats and Cake

Kaitlyn and Kelsey wore their party hats. Kaitlyn liked the cake and ice cream. Here she is with an ice cold Bud bottle chomping on the food. Such a sweet picture. Gators

Kelsey and Kaitlyn went to a birthday party this weekend for their friends Michael and Matthew. Michael and Matthew have lots of cool cars and a gator. Kelsey thinks she needs a gator now too. She says "mommy, I want a gator at my house like cousin David and Michael and Matthew." I tried to explain that none of them have a dollhouse, bitty baby crib, high chair and additional bitty accessories but the gator seems to be very popular. Look Mom, I'm Mulan!

Kelsey and Kaitlyn were coloring with markers this weekend. Kelsey colored her face and said "look Mom, I'm Mulan" We don't even own that movie, but Mulan does wear some face paint sometimes. Of course, Kaitlyn has to do everything that Kelsey does. So, Kaitlyn stuck the marker right into her eye! She was fine but it looked like she had a black eye for most of the day. Funny girls. We are... Penn State!

Here's little Kaitlyn heading in the door to her first Penn State Game. We had a good time tail gaiting for a little bit before going up to the game. I got a pic of the cousins sitting together. Kelsey and Kaitlyn's first game and they got to sit club level. They will be so upset when they have to sit in the regular section some day! Kelsey was a little afraid of all the noise. She said "I don't like that noise."
Kelsey and Kaitlyn had a good time at David and Ryan's house. Kelsely loved driving the Gator. Kaitlyn loved having a turn in the sandbox. Kaitlyn screamed when Kelsey and David had juice boxes, so Kaitlyn had one too! It was all over her shirt, skirt, and sweatshirt. She wants to be like the big guys!

a few more pictures from the park

I just looked back at the park pictures and there were a few more that I liked so much, I had to add them to the blog. We take so many pictures! Can't stop! They are so cute. Play park time!

Cousins had a good time at the park on Saturday. It's so funny to hear David scream "Kelsey!" and Kelsey scream "David!" running all over the park. They chased each other and played together really well. Every now and then they both yelled "Taitlyn" and wanted little Kaitlyn involved in the game. They checked on Baby Ryan every now and then too.
Pretty Pony-tail
Kaitlyn is getting used to having her hair done. I learned my lesson with Kelsey - I didn't make her wear pony tails when she was this age. So, Kaitlyn is going to be wearing a pony-tail as much as possible to get her used to it. Isn't she lovely?YMCA Healthy Kids Day

Kelsey and Kaitlyn had a good time at the Y this weekend. They loved the petting zoo, pony rides and the helicopter. Kaitlyn just walked off on her own twice and left us! She is getting brave. She explored around the boy scouts tent area and then around the Y playground. Kelsey asked if "B-Jo" was going to be there. That was the name of the pony she rode at Seven Springs in October! She has a great memory. We told her the horse that she rode was B-Jo's cousin. It's fun to play with her mind! She believes everything we tell her.

Kelsey's 3rd Birthday!

Kelsey had a great 3rd birthday. She had a princess party and dressed as Belle. Between me, my mom, and Kirstin, we took over 600 pictures! It was a happy day! David and Conner came and had Prince capes to wear - both of them refused to wear the capes. They pulled strings from the princess pinata, played in a cardboard princess castle and played pin the tiara on Belle - Bob drew a great Belle for the game. Kelsey jumped right on her scooter and put on the helmet. I told her that she could pick anything she wanted to take to bed that night and she picked the scooter. She has been scooting inside and outside this week. She demands that we clean off the wheels and bring it back into the house. The party ended with the kids jumping on Kelsey's bed. She's 3!! Preschool is right around the corner! She'll be going this fall. Easter Weekend Visit to State College

We all went up to State College on Saturday of Easter Weekend to visit the cousins. Kelsey, Kaitlyn, David and Ryan went on a snowy egg hunt. It was at a big park near their house and they had 8,000 eggs thrown all over the snow. Kelsey and David had their buckets filled to the top. Kaitlyn liked taking her eggs out of the bucket. She wanted to sit in the snow and everytime I tried to get her to stand, she just went limp so that I would let her sit back down. She liked the snow. Later, Kelsey and David colored eggs. As you can see, Kelsey used a lot of pink. It took 3 days for the pink dye to wear off of her fingers.
