Dance Recital Day

David agreed that Kelsey looked very pretty. He gave her a sweet little peck on the cheek. Then later they put on superhero costumes and chased each other around the house. Just a regular play day!

Flower Time!

Dance Day!

Kelsey and Ivy!

We were glad to see Maddeline and Alina in the boys locker room getting ready with us! They did Saturday night and Sunday performances! Kelsey was very excited to see them do their jazz routine.

Kaitlyn got her bitty dressed up too! She was happy to have a backpack full of pez dispensers, gum balls, and fruit snacks along with Aunt Kirstin to keep her company!

Kelsey was a little nervous the night before the recital. She told me that she was afraid she might fall off of the stage. I assured her that I talked to the teacher and no one had ever fallen off of the stage. She was happy to get bitty dressed in her ballerina dress to go along to the recital!

Happy Sisters

"Mommy! Come take a picture of us!" Funny girls know just how to get me to do whatever they want. They were in the office (after being told not to go in the office) and yelled for me to come take a picture while they hugged. Kelsey just loves to squeeze her sister.
We made bug cakes and pinch me cake for fun this weekend. The girls loved the pinch me cake! Who doesn't love butter, bread and cinnamon!? Then we shared our pretty bugs with everyone after Kelsey's recital.

Penn State Arts!

A local music organization had a "petting zoo" of instruments. Kelsey got to try the violin and flute. Kaitlyn tried out the bongos!
Kelsey and Kailtyn loved eating their art creations! All sugar!

They had a booth of giant edible sand art - AKA pixie sticks - the girls made giant pixie sticks in all of their favorite flavors.

Kaitlyn liked the kid's arts and crafts tent. She got her face painted, started to plant a flower and grabbed some cookies.

Kelsey got a pretty headband with ribbons. Kaitlyn didn't want one and picked out a balloon animal instead. We all had a great time at the arts fest and will have to go again next year!

Happy Birthday Pappy Bob!

Kelsey and Kaitlyn enjoyed going out to dinner for Pappy Bob's birthday! They giggled and laughed so much about it being his birthday that the waitress overheard and had a little cake sent to the table! Pappy Bob didn't mind at all...since the girls liked it so much!

Mother's Day!

Kelsey and Kaitlyn were very excited to give me my wheelbarrow and birdfeeder. They wanted to go on a ride right away! I think they think it's for me to take them around the yard. Hope they like dirt and mulch!

Rehearsal!

Kelsey has no problem just being herself on stage...um, maybe I mean to say that she has no idea that she is on a stage and people are looking at her. That's her, sitting down in the second row for the ballet number and her adjusting her hat in the tap number. The first run through, she played with her shoes, adjusted her shoulder straps, adjusted her hat and yawned a great big open mouth yawn! Then she started moving a bit for the second time through. She's very relaxed on stage...um, it should be an entertaining show!

Super excited to show Aunt Michelle her dance dress! Kelsey loved running around the house to show off her dress.

YMCA Festival

This was Kelsey's last year for the YMCA festival at her school. Next year, we'll still be going but it will be Kaitlyn's school then. Kelsey will be a school age visitor for the festival! The girls enjoyed the petting zoo, snow cones, popcorn, bounce house and tumblebus times at the festival!
Kelsey loves the peace sign lately. She's so stylish and hip. Trendy girl getting ready for kindergarten.

Kelsey and Kaitlyn made sand art, necklace art and bracelot arts! They make the festival a lot of fun for the kids. We were very lucky to have such great weather!

Kaitlyn was excited to get her hair and face painted. She picked pink and blue paint for her hair and then was told she could get a flower or butterfly painted on her face. She didn't want a pretty thing painted on her face, Kaitlyn wanted a skull and crossbones on her face. Our little pirate!

Baby Time for Meghan!

I went away last weekend to spend time with my friend Meghan and help with her baby shower. Meghan will be having a baby boy this June. Kaitlyn and Kelsey are excited to go visit the new baby.

Caught!

After I left for work last week, the girls got up and snuck downstairs to get the whip cream out. They took it under the dining room table and this is how Bob found them! Caught!

Leapster Learning Time

Kelsey and Kaitlyn like getting some Leapster time at night before bed. Kaitlyn can do the matching games and the animal sound game. Kelsey likes to play the drawing game and the princess counting game.
Kaitlyn got her big girl bed set up in her room last week. She liked inviting Kelsey to join her in bed to play leapsters.

Antique toys

Kelsey enjoyed getting ready for a garage sale last week. She liked playing with Bob's old toys in the basement. She got out all of his army guys and made a little place for them to live. They went swimming and climbed mountains. I think Bob was thinking she would make a war but she kept them all friends.

A Real Doll!

Sarah was very happy to allow Kelsey and Kaitlyn to style her hair. She sat in the babydoll styling chair (she fit pretty well!) and let them mist her, barrette her and clip her. They want her to come over every weekend!
Kaitlyn really got into the styling session!

Kelsey liked sharing her styling toys to put curlers and clips in Sarah's hair.
