July 26, 2007 Legion Park

We only lasted about 30 minutes at the park on this day! It was too hot to be running around and playing outside. We left and went to the Meadows to get ice cream. That was a much better way to spend a hot summer day. Kelsey ate her entire child size tub of chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Poor Kaitlyn she slept through the ice cream part of the day!

Monkey!

Kelsey is getting so strong! She's our little monkey. She climbed up the rope at Legion Park this week all by herself! She can do so much more now compared to last year at the playground. She is so proud of herself. She says "I do it myself mommy" and won't let me help her up.

July 24, 2007

Kelsey and Kaitlyn had a little visit at Nana and Pappy's house. Kelsey loves to use the hose and water the flowers. Kaitlyn shared Nana's lap so that Kelsey could sit down too! "Two babies" as Kelsey always demands!

July 20, 2007 Visit with Pappy Dave and Nana

Kaitlyn and Pappy Dave had a talk on the couch the other night. Kaitlyn is such a noise maker. She gurgles, goos and gahs for so long when she is happy. Sometimes she "talks" herself to sleep.

July 16, 2007 Curtin Playground

On Monday, we went to the playground at the preschool where I work. Kelsey was a fireman and drove the truck to Elmo's house. Kaitlyn's teeth are really popping out!

July 11, 2007 Time to Eat!

Kaitlyn is doing well with her food. She has had a lot of different food - pork chops, ham, meatloaf, eggs, and all kinds of food! She has a sippy cup and even gets to have milk! It's so strange because Kelsey wasn't allowed to have anything like that until she was a year old. The pediatricians have changed their thinking. Hopefully, Kaitlyn won't be as picky as Kelsey. Kelsey is a bit of a picky eater. Kelsey couldn't stand all of the pics we were taking of Kaitlyn and so she climbed up and got involved. She is such a good helper. Look at those brown and blue eyed girls! So different!

July 9, 2007

Grandma came to visit on Monday night. Kelsey found a bird nest under the deck. She has been good about staying back and just looking at it. She wasn't too impressed when I told her that the baby birds eat worms. I think she would like to give them some chicken nuggets!

July 7th Party Time!

Kelsey was all played out! She was exhausted by the end of the fireworks! She fought sleep all day and stayed up until 11 that night. She talked the whole ride home. On Sunday, when I asked her how she liked the party, she said "I wear ear plugs" After all of the toys, food and fireworks, the earplugs were the most memorable! She is a little cuddler when she is tired. She had to give everyone hugs and kisses before she got in the car.

Kelsey and David loved playing on this swingset. They rode around on little 4 wheelers - we pushed them. They loved the fireworks show at the end of the night. Kaitlyn fell asleep - I guess those earplugs really worked!

Happy 4th of July!

Kelsey celebrated the 4th of July all the way into the weekend. She did sparklers and snaps on Wednesday night and then went to see fireworks at a friends party on Saturday night. She played with kids at all of the parties. She got in the car and said "what's next?" when we left the first party. She is a party animal.

Aunt Michelle

Kelsey and Kaitlyn spent Saturday afternoon with Aunt Michelle and Uncle Marco. They played in the baby pool and had lots of great snacks. Kelsey got a manicure and pedicure from Aunt Michelle. Pappy Bob had to come over and check out the pretty nails.

July 5th, Martinsburg Pool

We had a good day at the Martinsburg Pool on Friday. Kelsey walked right up to the edge adn started to get in! She drank a lot of pool water. She wasn't ready for the slide yet. She went up the ladder 3 times and turned around every time. Maybe next year! She wore her arm floaties in the big pool and "swam" all by herself in the baby pool. Kaitlyn didn't like having her feet dipped in the water. She slept or let us carry her around all day.

Rolling!

Kaitlyn is rolling over! She rolled over about 2 weeks ago and then it didn't happen again for about a week. She doesn't like to be on her belly and she cries if she gets stuck there for too long. She hasn't figured out how to get from her belly to her back yet.

Kailtyn's Toys

Kelsey gave Kaitlyn a few toys to play with today. Kaitlyn is checking her toys out a little bit more latley. She is also eating food now. She has been eating real food for a month now.
