Sleepover with cousins!

We had the boys over for a sleepover this month and went swimming to the YMCA!  David, Kelsey and Kaitlyn took the test to swim in the pool without an adult.  Ryan was so nervous about taking a test and I let him know he didn't need to do it!  I got in the pool but then Ryan did everything he needed to do to pass the test!  He's such a good swimmer - just didn't like the pressure of the test!
Kaitlyn and Ryan played baby dolls and pretend house while Kelsey and David played Mario on the Wii.

We all got together to make cake balls in the easy bake oven and chocolate covered strawberries!

They all slept in tents in the basement!  They were asleep by 11:00.  They were so excited to be together that there were no complaints about the princess tents being so girly!

Junie B. Jones at the Mishler

Junie B. Jones is a favorite book series of Kelsey and Kaitlyn.  She's funny and silly.  We went to see the musical show at the Mishler and it was a combination of some of our favorite stories.  When we got home, Kaitlyn asked to start reading the books!  :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I got to go to Kaitlyn's Kindergarten Valentine's Day Party!  I was in charge of games and we played two group games while the other parents made the pancake breakfast for everyone! Kaitlyn enjoyed the games and got some extra attention during the play!  She love the reddi whip topping for her pancakes with strawberries.  She sits at a table with all boys!  I think that works very well for her!

Her very good friend sits right behind her!  Gigi walked her to the nurse when Kaitlyn broke her arm.  Kaitlyn is always talking about Gigi.
Kaitlyn and Ty have been friends since Kaitlyn was 7 months old!  They started out in the baby room and have been together for the toddler years, preschool, and now kindergarten!  What a cutie!

February Snowy Weekend

We used the snow blocks from Kaitlyn's birthday party to make an igloo.  The girls wanted me to build a roof but we ended up putting a sled on top.  They played house and pretended to sleep in the igloo.  This has been such a snowy, fun winter!  Also, my legs were in pain for three days after bending down, packing snow, building the igloo, and doing it again, and again, and again.  The girls supervised and it took many, many blocks to get just the right spot for the igloo.  We lost a lot of good blocks in the building process! Good exercise!
