Cousins

Here are Kelsey and David doing one of their favorite things: eating freeze pops. They also enjoy throwing balls anywhere in or out of the house, jumping on my bed, stealing each other's goldfish crackers, and chasing each other while screaming/laughing as loud as they can! It's been a fun visit!

"Ball"

David sits right down in the sand box. He was talking up a storm today! He asked for the ball and said "weee" as it went down the track. He loved carrying a bucket around the yard and dumping water on his feet - I kept him from dumping it on his shirt. He had a busy day today. He got up at 7:30 and then played here until 12:00 or so. He had lunch with us today and then took at nap at Nana's house. He came back over at 8:00 and watched Dumbo - he was more interested in watching Bob get the trash ready so Bob and David hung out in the garage for a little while. He was very good about getting to bed. He went to sleept at 9:45. Tomorrow, David is going to stick around until lunch and maybe take a nap here and then it will be off to Nana's house. He will be staying with Nana tomorrow night. He says that he can't wait to see what Mommy and Daddy are bringing back from Iceland.

August 14, 2007

Kelsey was the first one up again this morning! She got David up and moving by 7:30. David continued to show off his musical talents by turning these play pot lids into cymbals.
David and Kelsey colored pictures, made cookies and then played outside until 11:30 when Pappy Dave and Nana came to pick David up. Kelsey and David liked eating their fruit loop straws with milk today. David at half of all three of his and then played with them in the milk. David slept for awhile at Nana's and then played all day. David didn't come back to Kelsey's house until 10:00 tonight. Tomorrow, David is going to stay a little longer and then come back early for movie night with Kelsey. I think it's going to be Curious George.

Happy Boy!

David is having so much fun! He says that he hopes his mommy and daddy are having fun too! He is on vacation with us and we are making everyday an adventure for him. Tomorrow we are making chocolate chip cookies and playing outside in the teepee! We'll post more pics tomorrow.

sleepy boy

David slept for over 2 hours yesterday for his nap. Today only about 40 minutes. He is sleeping with his blue bear, frog and blanket tonight. Nana offerred to keep him the night but I wanted him here for the morning. He is such a good sleeper. He laid right down in the crib. Kelsey cried and wouldn't go to sleep until we took her over to show her that David was sleeping. She kept saying "I want to play with David!" She is going to be so happy tomorrow morning.

Put it together Pappy Dave

David was so patient while Pappy Dave put his basketball hoop together. He loved watching Pappy! He learned a lot!

Man Grill

David loves the grill in Kelsey's play kitchen. Nana thought he should have his own grill, so she went and got him a little man grill to cook hot dogs and hamburgers at their house. The condiments talk and the mouth on the grill moves up and down. David is making us laugh to much. He is being so good and we are loving his smiles.

Dinner

Nana made the dinner that Kirstin and Paul sent. Yummy chef boyardee! David is doing so well with his fork. He had a fun night watching movies and eating dinner.

Banana Popsicles

David liked banana popsicles at Nana's house.

Baby Kates

Kelsey called Kaitlyn "Baby Kates" when we brought her home from the hospital. We all call her that sometimes - expecially when she is striking such an adorable pose. She is definitely "baby Kates" in this picture.

Mickey Mouse Club March

Here are David and Kelsey doing the Mickey Mouse Club March. David loved the marracas. He's a music man. He pounds the drum up in Kaitlyn's room and then plays with these downstairs. He had a big lunch of KFC macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. He even ate a few bites of chicken. He took a 40 minute nap at Nana's house while we played outside in the pool.

August 13, 2007 Banana Nut Muffins

Kelsey and David made some muffins today. Their favorite part was dumping the walnuts all over the table.

August 13, 2007 Breakfast

Kelsey got everyone up at 7:45 this morning. The cousins had cinnamon toast, banana and cereal for breakfast.

goodnight David

David slept with Pooh Bear tonight. He went to bed so easily! I changed his diaper and put him in the crib at 9:45. He laid down and went right to sleep! Can't wait till morning. Kelsey is going to be so excited to see cousin David in her house!

Grilling some pretend food

David liked having some time alone with the kitchen. We gave him a hot dog and told him to put it on the grill. He knew exactly what to do!

goodnight snack

Here is David having a late night snack (9:30) of pretzel fish. He loves sitting at the Sesame Street table. He took all of the hot wheel cars out of the family room and brought them over to the table for his snack time. Kelsey and Kaitlyn were asleep and David was eating a special night time treat!

Look at my toes!

Kelsey wanted to take off her sandals and play in the sand today. She pretended that she was at the beach. She said her swingset was broken and asked me for a screwdriver. She is so funny!

Happy Girl

Here is Kaitlyn showing off her big smile. She has the biggest smiles! She is getting one of her top front teeth in this week! She's going to be ready for Cheerios pretty soon.

Delgrosso's Park

Here's a group of my favorite people. We all went to Delgrosso's Park for spaghetti night on Wednesday. It was over 90 degrees and we sat outside having spaghetti and meatballs! Kelsey loved the attention. At one point, she was on a ride and she had an audience of 6 adults and Kaitlyn watching her ride the cars. She has a loyal fan club!

Tilt-a-Whirl

Kelsey looks really scared in this picture but she liked the ride. She liked the "tilt" and not the "whirl." So, Nana and I tried to make sure that our car didn't spin too much. She ran and told everyone "I go round and round!" Nana is a daredevil. This was her second ride on the Tilt-a-whirl with Kelsey!

July 28, 2007

We went out to Lakemont Park this night after it cooled down. It was too hot to play outside today! We only spent an hour at the park.

This train doesn't even move!

Kelsey spent more time playing on this train than she did riding any rides.

merry-go-round

Kaitlyn tried out the merry-go-round with me and Kelsey.
