Kelsey and Kaitlyn helped me blow out the candles for my birthday cake. It's a good thing that Bob didn't put all 33 candles on there or Kelsey may have burned off her pig-tails!
We had Thanksgiving dinner at home this year. Here's a pic of Kelsey having her "cranberry cordial" at dinner. She enjoyed having a toast with me and Bob.
I was so happy with the pictures that we had taken on Wednesday because Kelsey was willing to smile! It was so nice. She hasn't wanted to be in a professional photo since she was about 15 months old unless Bob and I were in the photo with her. She loved the new picture place in town. They had lots of props and backgrounds. Kaitlyn did a great job too! She smiled easily for every picture. The photographer had to put a rubber duck on Bob's head and at one point, I had to jump up and down like a crazy person to get Kelsey to smile! At least she didn't run away screaming! They did great!
Kaitlyn is crawling all over! We really have to watch what we leave out! Today she stole Kelsey's pretzels from the sesame street table - it's about time that Kaitlyn had the chance to take something from Kelsey. I guess the advantage is being taken away from Kelsey a little bit. I hope they can start sharing sometime in the next 10 to 20 years.
Here's Kelsey and Kaitlyn waiting for Daddy to come home for lunch. Kaitlyn is hanging on for dear life. I placed her there and then ran really quick to get the picture. She just looks so cute but she only hangs on for a few seconds!
Here's Kelsey playing doctor with her bitty baby. She takes her temperature, gives her medicine and puts band-aids on her. Today, she told me that bitty threw up and needed a new shirt. She watches a lot of what I do with Kaitlyn. She took her temperature in many areas. Very interesting day.
Bob and I got to go to the Halloween party at Kelsey and Kaitlyn's daycare on Wednesday. Kelsey walked in a parade and Kaitlyn was carried. Kelsey wanted to be Pooh again! She did a great job. Kaitlyn and all of the babies were adorable!
Kelsey went to a party at a friend's house on Tuesday. She didn't play any of the party games but she loved playing with all of her friend's toys. She said "Can I go back and play with her toys?" when I put her to bed that night. She didn't want to be Cinderella for the party. I think she had a lot of Cinderella with her birthday party and trick-or-treat night. She wanted to be Pooh!
Curious George was the theme! The little man was a great George for his cake. He even won third place in a costume competition during a downtown parade and party! He was very curious - that's what the judges said!
David was running, jumping and having a great time all day. I don't think he or Kelsey ate anything but cake at the party.
David got a giant ball pit for his 2nd birthday! He loved jumping! Kelsey and Kaitlyn joined in too! Kaitlyn sat in the ball pit for almost an hour all by herself! It was the only time she was safe inside the ball pit.
