Isn't the snow pretty in the background? That was why I made sure we were all in front of the sliding glass door. Aren't those trees so pretty with all of the snow?
The kids loved dancing along with the German Band. We did lots of toasts and sang fun song. Kaitlyn and Kelsey really liked the E-I-E-I-O song. Kaitlyn was a dancing machine...too bad she doesn't want to dance at dance class.
It was everything we were used to at Autum Fest...just indoors. It actually made everything a lot more relaxed and easy to get to. All of the kids activities were in Exhibit Hall and then the shows and bands were over in the Foggy Goggle.
The kids (with some help) played Candy Land, Cooties, Zingo and some other fun games during our snowy AutumnFest Weekend. Ryan is really getting in the game!
We went on the Great Train Adventure this weekend during the Pumpkin Festival in our town. We took a school bus shuttle to the festival area and did some arts/crafts and ate funnel cake. Then we took the shuttle again, over to the train to go on an adventure! Kelsey, Kaitlyn, David, Ryan and Paige had a great time! The actors in the show took their parts very seriously and that made it all the more fun. Kelsey and Kaitlyn stared and were absorbed into the show when they saw the bride crying because she didn't want to get married. Then, when the gang of cowboys came to kidnap her it was so exciting! The horses ran and jumped around the train a few times and put on a great performance too!
Kelsey, Kaitlyn, David, and Ryan wore fake mustaches to be just like Pappy Dave!
What are they talking about!?
We all went to Rizzo's to celebrate Pappy Dave's birthday. Meatballs and spaghetti for all the kids. Kelsey was so excited to give him her card. She picked out a High Scholl Musical Card and then asked Pappy Dave to give her the stickers!
Kelsey didn't even mind the seeds. We will have to plant a watermelon again next year!
The girls have pampered chef kid's knives that are safe to use and they love to be independent in the kitchen! Kaitlyn loved cutting into the watermelon. She ate pieces as she cut.
We actually grew a watermelon in the garden this year! It took a long time to grow but it was delicious! The girls were so excited when we finally picked it and cut into it!
Bob showed Kelsey and Kaitlyn the fun of eating reddi whip right out of the container. That's what Dad's are for! Now he has taught them to eat mashed potatoes with serving spoon and reddi whip sprayed straight in their mouths! Fun
The girls love using the apple peeler to make apple crisp!
