Spidey Party

I can't get this picture flipped around but it was really cute. At the end of the night, they all wrapped themselves up and pretended to go to sleep. Kaitlyn liked this game a lot.

Kelsey and Kaitlyn loved their party bags from Aunt Kirstin - especially these funny glasses. Kaitlyn enjoyed the Hot Wheels track.

Trick or Treat Night with the Nittany Lion

Where is Kaitlyn? It's just me, Elmo and Kelsey. Poor thing, she was smothered in red fur, but at least she was warm. Kelsey loved being a Pirate and saying "Arr, I'm a pirate" She wanted a costume wig after seeing her friend Maddie's Hannah Montana wig. So, I found one at Target and had to buy it. She loved it.
Here are the girls sitting on the Lion. The Nittany Lion came to trick or treat night dressed up like a baseball player. Kelsey was really thinking about everything the day before we went and she asked me if the Lion was going to be dressed up. She's so funny

45 degrees again! Dressed in onesies, turtlenecks, sweaters, 2 layers of pants or tights, wigs, costumes and gloves, we went to trick or treat night.

Kaitlyn had to love this girl -- a giant M&M. mmmmm Kaitlyn's favorite treat. Kaitlyn couldn't say trick or treat but she did say "treat?" to everyone.

Pumpkin Patch

aaaww sweet girls.
We took a trip to the pumpkin patch today. Kelsey and Kaityln each picked out a little pumpkin and Bob got a big one. It was about 45 degrees! I think it will probably be about the same temperature when we go back to buy our Christmas tree!
"Look at me mom!"
"Go Kelsey GO!!" and "Get her Kaitlyn!"

Apple Crisp

Kaitlyn loved helping us peel the apples. She grabbed one and started eating - she didn't even mind the skin. The girls used the apple peeler to peel the apples and slice them all up. They reluctantly took turns spinning the peeler. I couldn't get a picture - I was very involved with the turn taking regulations. This was their after breakfast activity. Kaitlyn is in her 24 month jammies now. She looks big but then I think that Kelsey was sleeping in her big girl bedroom in a queen sized bed at this point and then Kaitlyn looks little. She is a little peanut.

Kelsey likes to help out with the cooking. She poured the topping on all of the apples after Kaitlyn went for her nap.

Happy Halloween!

Matthew, Michael, Madeline, Alina
Kelsey, Lilly, Nicholas and Kaitlyn

Kelsey and Kaitlyn went to a Halloween Party last weekend! They loved running around Michael and Matthew's house screaming after singing to "witchy poo." They loved playing with all the toys inside and then riding the gator and jeep all over the yard.

AutumnFest

Food and Games

mmmm dessert
Kaitlyn got a little too much attention for making such a mess with her dessert. Kelsey put the chocolate mousse on her nose and cheeks and told me to take her picture!
Ski Ball with Pappy Dave

AutumnFest Time - Magic Show

Kelsey volunteered to participate in the magic show! She raised her hand on the first chance the magician gave - which shocked all of us! She went up and made a pigeon appear in a dish. She kept it up and raised her hand everytime he asked for a volunteer throughout the show.

AutumnFest Time

My Dad hung out at the animal area while we stood in line to ride the pony. Someone came over and asked him how long he'd had the animals. I had to take a pic of farmer Dave.
Kaitlyn enjoyed her first pony ride!

AutumnFest at Seven Springs

Fuzzy Caterpillars.
Kelsey found her own fuzzy caterpillar up on the top of the mountain. She let it crawl up her arm and onto her shoulder while we walked around the lake.

They had a balloon hat clown on top of the moutain to entertain us while we waited in line for the alpine slide.
They don't look too happy in this picture but they really did love their balloon hats. David's popped on our way into the lobby and Kelsey gave her hat to him. We were all very proud of her. So sweet.

Tomatoes!

We planted some tomato plants this year for the first time. Kelsey liked watering them and watching them grow. We got about 10 big tomatoes this year. We're going to do some other plants next year in a bigger spot - now that we see how much fun it is!

Family

Kelsey and Kaitlyn have lots of family! This is a picture of their second cousin, Sarah's wedding. We all went to the wedding last weekend. It was fun to see all of the kids and brand new baby Parker. The girls are so lucky to have such a big family on both sides of their parents. Geography and the everyday demands of life and work definitely keeps us from seeing each other as much as we would like but family is always family!

Sunday School

Kelsey started Sunday School this week at church. She looks a little scared in this picture but she actually had a good morning. She even talked a little and told Miss Melissa about her dog. Kelsey and I went to church together -as Bob and I have given up on trying to all go together! Kaitlyn is just too fiesty to sit in a pew or hang out for an hour in the nursery. It's just too long for our little Kaitlyn to play in a little room.

Painting

Kelsey and Kaitlyn enjoyed some paint time while Bob watched football and I made dinner on Saturday.

Mums

Kelsey, Nana and I went to get Mums on Saturday while Kaitlyn napped. Next time, Kaitlyn will be along. Kelsey loved the flower place. They had a huge pond with tons of giant goldfish. Kelsey asked my to take her picture all over the place. "Get a picture of me in this chair mom!" Sometimes, she likes to pose for pics! How can I say no. She is so cute. They have an Autumn Festival at the flower place in October. We'll have to get Kaitlyn in on the fun next time!

Pirate Party!

Kelsey's friend, Conner, turned 3 this week. He had a Pirate Party on Sunday to celebrate. Kelsey loved going on a treasure hunt, having cake and playing with everyone. She was a little scared when a "real" pirate showed up at the party (Conner's Aunt dressed up).

Getting ready for Trick-or-Treat...

Kelsey and I were talking about trick-or-treating and planning her costume for this year. I got out Kelsey's old costumes to see if Kaitlyn took an interest in any of them. She said "Pooh" and wanted the whole costume on - including the head!! She was so happy. She giggled and patted her big Pooh Bear Belly. We picked out their costumes on Saturday afternoon. Kelsey is going to be a pirate and Kaitlyn is going to be Elmo. She loves Elmo.

Family Picture

Bob's sister's were both home over Labor Day Weekend. Amazingly, Bob was off work and we were all able to get together for a party at the Lenhart house. The girls had a great day spending time with their Aunts and Uncles. They have a new picture to hang in their bedroom with their aunts and uncles.

Frog on the Blog

The girls found this frog in their sandbox last week. It was the second time they found this frog. He's kind of memorable. He only has one eye and he has something wrong with one of his little front arms. Last time we found him, we put him in a bucket and he was our pet for the day. That day, we released him in the front yard under a shrub. Somehow, the one eyed, disabled frog found his way back to the sandbox. So we put him in a bucket, in the kiddie pool, and set him free that night. Kelsey named him "Michael" We'll be looking for him again.
