Beach Fun!

Kaitlyn with her sandcrab. She loved using her shovel to dig these little guys up and give them to me!

Ocean Fun!

posing on the beach

Here's Kelsey inside of the giant seashell. Kaitlyn fell and skinned her elbow right before her turn to get into the seashell.

beach beauties!

Out to the beach!

Finally, out of the car after the 7 hour trip to the beach! We went right down to say hi to the ocean. We had great weather and lots of good times at the beach.

Aunt Michelle and Aunt Karen

Aunt Michelle, Uncle Marco, Aunt Karen and Uncle Philip came to visit last weekend. The girls had fun playing at their Grandma and Pappy Bob's house. Kaitlyn wasn't too into having her picture taken. We'll try again next month in Chicago at Aunt Karen's wedding!

Buddy Day

Ryan's first ride on the turtle.
Happy and Kissed.

The girls gave Ryan lots of kisses on the Merry go Round.

Here's David saving Kelsey. They had fun dragging each other around.

trying out dance class

Kelsey is trying out dance class this week at a summer workshop. They give a little trial at ballet, tap, and acro each day. So far, she likes it! We'll see how she feels in the fall! She says she wants to go to class but doesn't want to be in a show.

spider man gift

David got some new spiderman underwear and gave a pair to Kelsey. Why don't they make spiderman underwear for girls? So, Kelsey chose to wear them on her head on Saturday night. Our little funny girl. Kaitlyn stood on the ladder and wouldn't let anyone climb it all night!

Autism Walk!

We went to the ball park for the Autism walk on Saturday. Maureen did a great job organizing our team, getting us all together for a team picture and getting us team t-shirts! Thanks Maureen!!!

While we were at the walk, something new happened! I took the girls to use the restroom and they went in on their own. Kelsey likes to have "privacy" and Kaitlyn has started copying this attitude. So, for the first time ever, I stood outside and they took care of themselves (mostly). I was so astounded by this new independence that I took a pic of their little dangling feet. Growing up!

Geoffrey from Toys R Us was at the Walk.

School's out!

We went to Chuck E. Cheese this weekend with David and Ryan. David stayed over at our house and went to Kelsey's swim lesson and then to the Autism Walk!

Sesame Place - warm day!

Our second day was a warm day! We rode all the rides, climbed in the net area, watched the parade and enjoyed the characters.

Hotel Fun

The cousins got to swim, play with play doh, watch movied and jump on the beds at the hotel. Oh, did I mention that Kaitlyn vomitted in the car the first night on the way to dinner and spent the first night with a fever with me? I have now learned to always have detergent, towels, motrin, and fabreze in the car. Luckily, the hotel had a laundry room. It was her first day off of the antibiotic from her ear infections, we thought she was healthy as could be. Those toddlers really can trick you...!

Sesame Place - cold day

The first day at Sesame place was cold and drizzly. We went to all 3 shows, rode some rides and played in the climbing area. Kelsey volunteered to dance with Elmo and Bob and Paul got chosen to dance with Big Bird. Kirstin videotaped Bob and Paul doing a hula dance with the characters. It was worth the trip!

Garden!

We started a garden box this year. We will hopefully have green peppers, red peppers, pumpkins, strawberries, plum tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, big boy tomatoes, cucumbers and watermellon at some point this year...or maybe the rabbits and deer will be well fed. Either way, the girls will enjoy helping with the garden.

Summer is coming....

The girls are ready for summer to begin. Here they are waiting in line to ride the boats. They love going to the park all summer long!

Twin Study in Chicago!

Kirstin and I got to go back to Chicago for a weeked for the PA twin study at the U. of Chicago. We planned to do some touristy stuff this time but ended up just shopping on Michigan Ave. and eating the whole weekend. We went to Timothy O'Tooles, Big Bowl, Cheesecake Factory and Maggiones for lots of martinis and good times. We agreed that we should do our own "twin study" every 3 years or so and take a trip together. Kirstin did a great job making all the plans. We got to see a show at Second City. The staff at the university were a great help in teaching us how to get around on the L and the bus systems.

Seven Springs Brewski Festival

We got my parents (and ourselves!) tickets to the Brewski festival at Seven Springs for Christmas this year. I tried 25 brews and Bob tried 39! They had over 100 to try but those little 3 ounce tasters really start to add up! My mom liked Blue moon and my dad liked Hoegarden and Heineken. I liked Troeginator and Bob liked it all!

April 20 - Toddler Bed!

Kaitlyn started sleeping in her toddler bed on April 20th! She climbed in and out of her crib that morning, so I decided it was time to switch over! She liked having a big girl bed. I only had to stand outside her door for 45 minutes to keep her in her bed! It took about 4 weeks to keep Kelsey in her bed, so it should be easy by May!
