Walking Around
Kaitlyn is walking more than crawling now. She is a little shaky and wobbly. She picks her legs up so high that she is almost marching. Isn't she adorable?

Easter Time is here
Kelsey went on an Easter Egg Hunt at the mall this weekend. She liked running around the mall and getting m&m's from the stores. I was dissapointed that there wasn't more for her to do but then I realized that she was having a good time just being there with everyone. She even walked up to the Easter Bunny. She told Bob that she did not sit on his lap, she said "I just stood in front of him" Funny girl. She got to go on the egg hunt with friends from my school, Conner, and cousin David. She liked holding hands with Michael (her boyfriend). They will start swim class together next month.Friday, March 7, 2008

Spidey!

Spider Man was climbing the walls of our house on Sunday night. Kelsey played princess dress up and then spider man time! She is going to be Belle for her birthday this year. I didn't take and pictures of her but she let me put her hair in a bun, curl the back, and tie ribbons and bows. Kaitlyn liked checking out Bob in the spiderman mask.
Playing Together
Kelsey and Kaitlyn played "city" on Sunday. Super heroes, princesses, and various happy meal characters live in the city. Kelsey is wearing a princess T-shirt from her friend Sydney. Kelsey loves Sydney's clothing gifts and tells me that "Sydney is grown up bigger than me" to explain why Sydney gives her clothes! She's always thinking about something. She thought it was funny that Kaitlyn was allowed to sit in her booster seat to play. She kept telling me that Kaitlyn had to go back to the high chair at dinner - I think she was worried that she was going to lose her spot. Friday, February 15, 2008
Happy Valentine's Day

We all missed school mon, tues, and weds this week because of the flu. We were ready to go back on Thursday, just in time for Valentine's Day Parties! Kelsey and Kaitlyn brought home lots of cards, candy, cupcakes and cookies. I got them balloons to fill the backseat for the ride home from school. They loved kicking them and punching them while we drove home. It was a Happy Valentine's day for all of us! Kelsey has been dragging the whole bunch of balloons all over the house.Snow Day
Here's Kelsey playing last Saturday at Grandma's house. Later that night, she got the flu. Who would have known that was coming? She had a good time eating the snow!

Aquadoodle artist
Here's Kaitlyn busy on the art easel with her Elmo aquadoodle. She's very serious about this and it entertained her for over 20 minutes!

Tricycle
Kelsey got to ride her tricycle last Friday - before we all got the flu
. We played outside after school. The next day, it snowed and I got the flu.

the look of utter disgust
This is Kelsey's look of utter disgust. This look comes after I talk about things like: green beans, bedtime, cleaning up, or anything that is completely unacceptable to Kelsey. How can I keep from smiling? Bitty cribs

Kelsey and Kaitlyn played with their babies and crawled in and out of the bitty cribs all night on Sunday. This was how we were able to watch the SuperBowl. They laughed at each other and "shared" the babies (Kelsey took all 4 babies and kept them in her crib). We had to make sure Kaitlyn got her babies back. At one point Kelsey took everything from Kaitlyn and the crib didn't even have the little bitty matress or blankets! Ski Ball!

We went back to Chuck E. Cheese with friends from school. (Mommy's school)
Kelsey, Michael, Matthew and Madeline jumped right up onto the ski ball targets. Kim won top honors as the ski ball champ. She's been waiting to read about her ski ball skills on this blog. GO KIM!!!

Playtime!
Kelsey and Kaitlyn had lots of playtime this weekend. Kelsey played school in the livingroom with her babies and animals. She sat in the teacher chair and sang the ABC's and the class welcome song to each of her "students." Kaitlyn got a chance to use her stroller from Aunt Kirstin. She loved "walking" around the house. She gets going too fast and falls forward, so we have to watch out for her!

Wacky Hair Day
Kelsey's class had wacky hair day this week. She sat and let me brush her hair and put 5 pig tails in for her. Most days, I am lucky if she lets me brush her hair in the morning but on this day she knew I was making her look crazy so she sat and let me do it. The chopped bangs give it an extra wacky look!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn Elise! Chuck E. Cheese Night

We went to Chuck E. Cheese on Wednesday night to start Kaitlyn's birthday celebration! David was staying with Nana and Pappy so it was extra fun to have cousin David along to play and dance.

Hair-Do's
Kelsey has been staying awake during nap time at school and her new teacher has been fixing her hair! She sits for over 30 minutes and lets Miss Erika comb her hair and put it in braids and pony-tails. She won't let me brush her hair on most nights. She is so funny. Here are some of her new dos.

Sharing the Dollhouse
Kaitlyn is allowed to play near the dollhouse but she has to play with "baby toys" because the dollhouse belongs to Kelsey. As Kelsey says: "No, that's mine." Once or twice, Kelsey has even tattled on her baby sister: "Kaitlyn has my dollhouse toys!" Oh dear. Thank goodness we have a second dollhouse hidden in the house. Kaitlyn will get her very own dollhouse someday.Saturday, December 29, 2007
Christmas Eve with Pappy Oscar and Aunt Karen

Aunt Karen got Kelsey and Kaitlyn a basketball hoop! Kelsey loved it. She doesn't like to miss a basket and so she has the hoop set up in the living room inches in front of the couch. She stands on the couch and dunks every ball. She gets very VERY upset if we move it and she cannot make the basket. We will keep practicing for summer!
