Summer Photos

The girls went for some summer photos tonight. They were very good and got lots of M&M's from the machine at the photo place - so nice of the photo place to have an M&M machine!! It helped motivate the girls! It's so nice to get one with them together. Kaitlyn wasn't giving us her big smile tonight but she looks happy enough. They were so good that we got to visit the pet store and check out the birds, fish, and hamsters. They love to walk all around the pet store. Kaitlyn says "hi!" to all of the animals. Kelsey loves the "purple spider."

Posing for Pictures...

Kelsey really got into posing for pictures tonight before we went to Bob's cousin's wedding. She picked a flower and posed at the front door. Kaitlyn wasn't so into the picture game.
Kaitlyn would smile for a half second and I kept missing it. Sweet girl.
Oh my. Kelsey is such a picture princess. Kaitlyn just wanted to get up and run.

Last Day of Summer Before School Starts!!!

The girls and I went to the Martinsburg Pool today. It was our last day of summer before school starts for me tomorrow.
Kelsey swam all afternoon! She loves the water. She does so well with her floaties.
Kaitlyn liked checking out the baby pool. She soaked her sun hat in the water.
Snack time was a hit with both girls. They love fries and popcorn.

Penns Cave - We didn't actually go into the cave!

These sunflower fields were my favorite part for the pictures.

We rode a "safari bus" and saw deer, bison, horses, wolves, mountain lions, bobcats, bears, elk and cattle. It was a 90 minute ride throught the pastures. The girls had a good time. Kelsey liked getting to ride a bus with no car seat!
Here they are trying to call the wolves to come over and see them. Watch out for the electric fence girls.

Delgrosso's Park

We all went to Delgrosso's this weekend to play at the waterpark and ride some rides. Kelsey is getting braver now that she has been going all summer. She rode the wacky worm with Bob and the Flying Bobs with me and Bob.

Rocky Road

Kelsey picked out rocky road ice cream at the store this week. Chocolate, marshmallows and peanuts - a perfect combination! I sprayed the deck off with the hose after they went to bed...or we would have been run down with ants by morning. They enjoyed it. Too bad I can't spray down the kitchen floor or we could have fun like this after summer is over!

Using the computer..for real this time!

Here's Kelsey playing a Thomas the Train game on the computer. I have been letting her play mouse games to learn to use the mouse and now she can play some of the games on her favorite cartoon websites.

Barnes and Noble Story Time

Perfect little girls. Sitting together, reading, sharing, so nice...and then story time actually started and they had to sit and listen to the story teller - I didn't take many pictures since I was telling them to sit and listen repeatedly for that portion of story time.

Baby Huggums

These are the type of random things I find in my house. This is baby huggums (Kaitlyn's) stripped down to her little pink body and wrapped in a dish towel on the floor. Poor Huggums.

Water Day at David and Ryan's house

Happy Faces!
They had a pirate pool, slip-n-slide, sidewalk chalk, tattoo parlor, and snack time with David and Ryan while I went to the autism conference this week. Fun times in State College.

Visit to Michelle and Marco's house!

We went for a visit to see Michelle and Marco last weekend. The girls had a great time going places, playing with the neighbor kids, and hanging out with their Aunt and Uncle.

Domino's Petting Farm - Trip to Michigan

Here we all are on the hayride...err straw ride... at Domino's petting farm in Michigan. It was a big barn, pond, and pasture with lots of farm animals. Everyone had a good time, even the adults!
This pig got a lot of attention. Not sure how big this guy is, but it was unbelievable!

Kelsey and Kaitlyn loved feeding the goats little bites of carrots. Kaitlyn really got into it. She didn't mind getting licked by the goat or anything!

Happy Retirement!

Happy Retirement to Nana Sharon and Pappy Dave. Thanks for taking us to Seven Springs for over 30 years (that's right Dad, 30 years) so that we would know where to take you to celebrate your retirement! Everyone had a great time. We got so lucky and had good weather and good times. Let's keep celebrating your retirement every year!

Campfire

It was an action packed day - alpine slide, eurobungy, bowling, horseback riding, feeding fish, dinner, walk, and then a campfire to toast marshmallows. Kaitlyn, Mom, and I are the only people who ate the marshmallows. MMMMmmmm
