Sesame Place - cold day

The first day at Sesame place was cold and drizzly. We went to all 3 shows, rode some rides and played in the climbing area. Kelsey volunteered to dance with Elmo and Bob and Paul got chosen to dance with Big Bird. Kirstin videotaped Bob and Paul doing a hula dance with the characters. It was worth the trip!

Garden!

We started a garden box this year. We will hopefully have green peppers, red peppers, pumpkins, strawberries, plum tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, big boy tomatoes, cucumbers and watermellon at some point this year...or maybe the rabbits and deer will be well fed. Either way, the girls will enjoy helping with the garden.

Summer is coming....

The girls are ready for summer to begin. Here they are waiting in line to ride the boats. They love going to the park all summer long!

Twin Study in Chicago!

Kirstin and I got to go back to Chicago for a weeked for the PA twin study at the U. of Chicago. We planned to do some touristy stuff this time but ended up just shopping on Michigan Ave. and eating the whole weekend. We went to Timothy O'Tooles, Big Bowl, Cheesecake Factory and Maggiones for lots of martinis and good times. We agreed that we should do our own "twin study" every 3 years or so and take a trip together. Kirstin did a great job making all the plans. We got to see a show at Second City. The staff at the university were a great help in teaching us how to get around on the L and the bus systems.

Seven Springs Brewski Festival

We got my parents (and ourselves!) tickets to the Brewski festival at Seven Springs for Christmas this year. I tried 25 brews and Bob tried 39! They had over 100 to try but those little 3 ounce tasters really start to add up! My mom liked Blue moon and my dad liked Hoegarden and Heineken. I liked Troeginator and Bob liked it all!

April 20 - Toddler Bed!

Kaitlyn started sleeping in her toddler bed on April 20th! She climbed in and out of her crib that morning, so I decided it was time to switch over! She liked having a big girl bed. I only had to stand outside her door for 45 minutes to keep her in her bed! It took about 4 weeks to keep Kelsey in her bed, so it should be easy by May!

Weekend Fun

Kaitlyn and I got to spend a lot of time working on her sesame street coloring book this weekend. Kelsey slept almost all day on Sunday. Kaitlyn loved the time alone with the entire container of glitter glue and craft supplies!

Kelsey was feeling good on Saturday. She helped me wash the car.

Pappy Dave helped us get started on our summer garden project! Hope the rabbits and deer appreciate all of our hard work. Hope they don't eat all of our veges! The girls loved finding worms. Kaitlyn called them all "mommy worms"

Happy Easter!

Easter

Happy Easter.

Kaitlyn was so excited to find eggs! She screamed and ran all over looking for them! Here she is running back to us after finding 3 in the dining room.
Kelsey was so happy to get candy and presents. She wanted a swim shirt and she got a swimsuit just like she wanted. Funny how fashion is suddently important to her. I asked her why she wanted that kind of swimsuit and she just said that she saw someone with one.

Happy 85th Birthday Pappy Oscar!

Easter Time!

Kelsey, Kaitlyn and I went to the mall on Saturday. We ate lunch at the food court, shopped at Old Navy (they had movies and face painting in the store!), stood in line for 40 minutes to get balloon hats, rode the train, and then said hi to the Easter Bunny! All in just 2 1/2 hours!
No crying! They gave him high fives! They told him Happy Easter! Amazing.

St. Patrick's Day Fun

After the party, Kirstin and I had a green beer toast.
Kelsey and Kaitlyn with some friends from my school and cousins!

Kaitlyn sneaking snacks!

Kelsey loved taking everyone up to see her room. Here she is with Maddie and Alina.

The kids all made silly puddy! Later they had Shamrock shakes and snacks. They all danced, ran around and played for a little over an hour!

Swimming

Bob came swimming with us last Sunday night. The girls smiled the whole time they were in the pool.
Kaitlyn loves the water. She doesn't mind if her head bobs under and she is very brave about jumping off the edge! No fear at age 2.

Kelsey has a little more fear at age 3. She has her board or floaties at all times!

Outside!

Building buddies. They all had fun playing with big legos out on the deck.
happy to be outside!

Ryan weighs the same as Kaitlyn now! She's so tiny. We knew he'd catch up with her one day...she better look out.

Kelsey and David were hunting for ants.
