Last night of swim lessons!

Here are the girls with one of their teachers. They talked about him all the time. When Kelsey heard that he would be graduating high school this year, she said "He's just like Troy" (High School Musical). They loved swimming with their teachers!
Kelsey and Kaitlyn are swimming on the end. They love playing this game - chasing the teacher across the pool. The teacher doesn't usually wear a life preserver - he taught them safety lesson on this day. They all took turns saving the teacher and pulling him across the pool!

Morning People.

We are not morning people. Morning is all about getting moving and avoiding any arguments. Get up, get dressed, get going. This morning, Kaitlyn was really excited to be going to the 3 year old room for her first full day. Had to take pictures because, we were all in a good mood in the morning!

Together!

Santa brought the girls their own personal dvd players so that they would never againg argue about who got to pick the movie! Suddenly, they want to watch the same movie TOGETHER! Happy girls.

Happy Birthday Little Mermaid!

Kaitlyn had a Little Mermaid 3rd Birthday! She opened her mermaid dress and said that she wouldn't wear it! WHAT? She said it was too itchy and she wasn't wearing it. I got her all dressed up and she loved it. She wore it until almost 10:00 that night. She literally wore it out. she ripped up some of the glittery skirt. She enjoyed all of the attention. All week she has been asking "Just for me" about all of the special events for her birthday. She loved having it by all about her for a day!

The girls made stickers to pass out to people that night. They enjoyed sharing their homemade artwork! Kaitlyn made sure everyone had a sticker to wear.

David knows all about American Girl! He explained the dog's name and the carrier to Kaitlyn as she opened the present from her cousins. Look how nicely Ryan let Kaitlyn open her own present! If only Ryan was allowed to open his own presents! We'll have to work on that next year.

Nate had to jump in on this one!

Look at all of Pappy Dave's stickers! Happy mermaid girl.

She's all bling and glitter. Gotta love her smiles.

The girls are kissing each other happy birthday kisses.

Slinky Birthday Fun

Kaitlyn went to Slinky this weekend with Kelsey, David and Ryan to celebrate her birthday. They had a great time running all over, getting tickets and having slushies!

Swim Lessons!

Heidi helped Kaitlyn the first night of swim lessons. Kaitlyn cried a little and was a little upset about getting splashed. Heidi did a great job getting Kaitlyn comfortable in the water!
Kelsey is really putting on the big sister show at class. She is bobbing her head, raising her hand to jump in the pool first and really making an effort to help out her sister!

I have been promising Kaitlyn that I would take her to swim lessons since last year when she had to sit through all of Kelsey's lessons. I kept saying that she could go as soon as she turned 3, so we went! She cried the first minute or two of class and wanted me to get in the pool with her but then she loves it. She puts her head in the water, kicks, splashes and giggles the whole time!

Happy New Year!

"Come on Ryan, Let's go to your room and play!" Kaitlyn and Ryan hung out a lot on New Year's Eve.
Everytime that I went into the playroom, David and Kelsey said "We're not doing anything!" Sounds a little suspicious?

Kaitlyn and Ryan enjoyed watching videos of themselves on the computer.

New Year's Hat craft time at the library!

Ice sculptures

Ringing in the new year!

The girls screamed all the way down the slide.

We ran into Kelsey's friend Ivy at the park. Kelsey was so happy to get to ride the ice slide with Ivy! Kaitlyn said "NO" everytime I asked her to ride the slide. Bob offered to ride it too but she just didn't want to try it. She said she'll do it when she is big.

Play Days!

The days after Christmas are so much fun. We get to play with all the new toys and make lots of great crafts!
Kelsey got two bracelots done today. Kaitlyn took a break for taking care of her baby to sing twinkle twinkle. Very nice costume too!
Kelsey got a little more into the show. She allowed me to take only one picture! Then I had to "pay attention and watch!"

I got a toy too! The girls got to play a little with my new ipod. I am learning a little more everyday. Here they are trying to play air hockey. All these toys!

Kelsey's poor little nose has been running non-stop for a few days. She got all dressed up in her new princess necklace and glittery princess make-up

Kaitlyn went all out on the princess make up. She had it all over her face - forehead, hands, ears, etc. She was pink and purple everywhere.

The girls got babies for the bathtub and gave them baths in the sink with LOTS of bubbles.

Kelsey loved getting this magnet paint kit from Aunt Michelle. She painted the magnets and we wrapped them up to give out at Grandma's Christmas Party. She picked special ones for each person

Grandma, Pappy Bob, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Marco, Aunt Karen, and Uncle Philip!

The girls enjoyed spending time with their Aunts and Uncles. Kelsey liked letting Aunt Michelle and Aunt Karen help her open everything. The girls were happy to give presents to everyone!

The girls were very excited to give Grandma and Pappy Bob their calendar, crockpot and restaurant card! The girls were quick to rip through all of the presents from Grandma and Pappy Bob. Beds for their dolls, slippers, sweatsuits, shirts, books, craft books, a ring, candy, swimsuits and bags for their dolls, beach towels and bags for the girls and their dolls, and princess robes.

Nana and Pappy Dave!

Kaitlyn loves her leapster. She has learned to play 2 games that let her match colors and shapes! I am glad because I really didn't think she would be able to play on it! I just knew she would want one if Kelsey had one. She has to always work extra hard to keep up with her big sister.
Kelsey was very happy to open her leapster. She played with it all night and even chose to sleep with it that night!

Nana Sharon and Pappy Dave came over in the afternoon to have dinner and exchange gifts. The girls were so excited to give them their presents. As Kaitlyn and Kelsey say: "Pappy is so silly!" Nana and Pappy got a blanket, luggage tags, a calendar and socks!
