Last Day at Seven Springs!

We all enjoyed our long weekend at Seven Springs! We made trip to Helen's to get some pictures on our last day. Kelsey and Kaitlyn love to pose on this big rock.

Summer Tubing!!! So much FUN! Everyone enjoyed it after the initial ride of fear! This new activity just opened a week before we arrived! Glad we had a chance to try it out.

Kaitlyn was almost completely inside her tube!

Kelsey was very independent and went right back up as soon as she reached the bottom.

I look scared because I am trying to hold onto Kaitlyn with my feet and Kelsey with my elbows. AAAAHHHHH! Fun!

Who had fun in the indoor pool!? Happy 4th of July Brother's in law!
Kaitlyn hung out in the deep end with Bob. She swam in the 10 foot side and did great!

Kelsey and David played basketball on the shallow end. When they couldn't make a basket from the pool, they jumped out and did it from the edge!

Alpine Slide!

Ryan and Kaitlyn have about 2 years until they get to go alone! Thank Goodness! We will have a paramedic ready at the bottom for Wild Child Kaitlyn!

David is NOT pleased to see Kelsey at the bottom before him!

This was the first year that Kelsey and David could ride the Alpine Slide on their own! Kelsey has been riding the slide since she was 2 years old but never alone! She went down with me and I let her be in charge of the brake for the entire ride! I made sure she knew to go slow but not so slow that she got hit from the person behind her! She did great! Even the guy watching the turn on the slide said she did great for her first time down! She was in a race with David and she won! Don't talk to David about it though because "it wasn't a race!"

Family Fun Activities at Seven Springs!

Bowling. Kelsey and David took the game more seriously than Ryan and Kaitlyn. The fact that they recognized the numbers made it mean more to them!
Kaitlyn used the helper to get her ball rolling! Exciting to watch the ball slowly move down the lane. Slow, slow, very slow...

"Seven" is Seven Springs new character. He must have been hot out there during the day!

David won the sack race twice! Go David! Prizes for all of them afterward!

Poor Ryan! He's only 3 but this group won't let him get away with anything! He's got to play by all the rules too! I think this was at the end of the game and it was really getting down to the wire to see who won! They're just a little competitive!

Favorite Things at the Beach!

Kaitlyn's favorite part of vacation was the hot tub! We had to keep telling her to take breaks from the hot water.
Kelsey's favorite thing was jumping waves and trying to ride waves in! She loved the ocean - by the last day at the beach!

Wild Child! Jumping in the hot tub! This picture makes me laugh everytime I look at it. It looks like she was in danger but she was going forward into the 3 foot hot tub. Kaitlyn was the hot tub girl all weekend.

Family Pirate Picture

We had dinner at Rockefellers, on the bay, and had a chance to walk out to see the pirate adventure boat. We got to see lots of fish and buckets of bait! Glad we waited till after dinner to check that out!

We're Here!

No floaties this year! They both want to swim on their own now!

After 7 hours in the car, we were all ready to relax at the pool! The first 5 hours were good, with busy little girls, coloring, leapster playing, and singing. Then hours 6 and 7 were a continuous "When are we going to get there?" and "I'm starving!" We were attempting to do the ride without getting out snacks but even I broke down! We had to have some white cheddar popcorn that last hour!

Happy Father's Day!

Bob had a happy father's day breakfast before he had to head out to work! Kaitlyn made him a colorful tie to wear to work. Kelsey didn't make a craft at her school for Bob and was very upset that morning when I started laying out the presents and Kaitlyn's craft. She ran up to her room crying without telling me why. I had to calm her down and then I finally got her talking and she said she wanted to have a craft for her Daddy too. So, we made a craft - immediately. She made a certificate for Bob that named him the Lego Master and then gave him a coupon for 1 hour of lego play! Happy Day!

Dinosaur Day at Delgrosso's

Kaitlyn went down the slide in the splash area all by herself!
Fun with Buddy the Dinosaur from Dinosaur Train and Buddy Bear! Kelsey and Kaitlyn were happy to see Conner, Noah and Olivia at the park too!

T-Ball!

The girl's coach is very laid back and fun! They are enjoying the game and having a good time!
Kaitlyn's favorite part is hitting. She just puts up with the wait in the outfield. She plays with her hat, her gum, her mit, she finds ways to entertain herself. Every now and then a ball hits her, she ignores that part.

Kelsey is pretty fast! She pays attention and takes the game pretty seriously.

The girls are on the YMCA t-ball cactus league this year. There are 4 to 6 year olds and even a few 3 year olds on the teams. It's nice to come out and see over 100 kids on 8 teams all playing t-ball. The fields are divided into 4 areas for the teams to play each other. There appear to be no rules, just everyone gets to hit and then they all run in to home and repeat, for an hour!
